Form of music video and the conventions of it

The most used camera shots for a music video are long shots, close ups and mid shots. These are so you can see the face and emotion of the artist and if you use long shots this is so you can see the setting of the video and so the artist can move around. The camera movements consist of tilts, tracking, pans and crane shots.  There is a lot of things that you can say and put in the scene of a music video and depending on what the genre of the video is. The editing of a music video changes according to the genre because you would normally edit to the beat. The cut used is a jump cut so you can quickly go to the next scene. Transitions are also used in music videos such as fade and dissolve.
